2019 Kiser Vineyard Pinot Noir, Suitcase Block

The Kiser Vineyard Pinot Noirs are a fascinating study on variations of a theme. All are specifically Kiser and more alike when compared to other vineyards. However, when tasted as a set, they are all distinctive among themselves, each showcasing a different expression.

2019 Kiser Vineyard, Suitcase Block, Pinot Noir // The perfumed, floral aromatics of the "suitcase block" are intoxicating.  It's a wine to savor and let your mind wander.  Notes of rose petal, wild herbs and wild blackberry abound. 

The "Suitcase Block" is a subsection of the lower block with the main difference being the vine material was brought over directly from Grand Cru vineyards in Vosne-Romanée.  The clusters here are small and irregular.  In our hands they produce one of the most singular Pinot Noirs in all of California—delivering so much elegance but with a deep powerful current running below the surface.  We would put this up against any Pinot in the world, any time.
